Did you have any teaching experience before coming here?

I do. I taught 4 years of elementary special education, then I was also a math teacher here at JW, and also at Parkland Middle School.

What do you think of JW?

I think JW is a very fun place to work, we have very good teachers, and students who work very hard every day. I have been working at JW for 10 years, and I would like to stay here for as long as possible.

What college did you go to?

I went to St. Bonaventure University, which is in New York, which is where I'm from.

What did you major in and why?

I majored in elementary and special education. I also played softball in college.

Is cereal a soup?

No, I just don’t think so, and I like soggy cereal, which most people don’t.

How do you like administrating 7th grade so far?

I’ve done all the grades, and I think seventh grade is the most challenging. I really enjoy it.

What do you like doing outside of school?

I spend a lot of time with my son, Theo, who is 4, I enjoy traveling to see my family in new york, and I really like coca cola.

Do you have any advice to share?

My advice would be to take life one day at a time, and you’re too young to be stressed.

Why do all the administrators have those rolling carts?

One of our beliefs are that it’s important for admin to be present and visible in the hallways, to ensure safety and stuff. We need to have something to do work on, and we can’t do that without a desk, so Mr. Staton purchased one for us.

How much screen time have you had this week?

Too much. I think about 30 hours.
