CORRECTION:

A previous edition of this article stated that Ms. Torres began college at Bowie State University and that she had not taught middle school. This has been corrected to reflect that she began college at the Naval Academy, and that she has served as a middle school teacher. The previous edition also stated that she felt some administrators were not knowledgeable to students, and this has been updated to specify that she felt some administrators were not knowledgeable about her students.
