The 2020 Grammys was this year on January 26th, only hours after the helicopter crash that tragically killed Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant. Despite the solemn feeling that weighed down the room, the party still went on. Seventeen-year-old Billie Eilish won multiple Grammys, including the record, album, and song of the year and the best new artist. Lizzo also was nominated for many awards, including the best urban contemporary album and the best traditional R&B performance, both of which she won. As for some of the lesser-known categories, Becoming, an autobiography of Michelle Obama, won Best Spoken-Word Album. Some of the performances throughout the production showed many famous artists such as Ariana Grande and Alicia Keys. The event as a whole was incredible and moving to watch.
