She hates how everyone treats her differently and how her parents won’t let her do all the normal things she wants to do. So, when she’s put in eighth-grade math and science classes and meets a cute boy named Griffin, she doesn’t tell him she’s “the girl who had cancer.” Despite being an uncommon experience, the story is told in such a way that every middle schooler can relate to it.
